About Mynarski:
This menu at the top of our campaign website has been setup to simply provide information about the political area called the Mynarski Ward. Information will of course cross the political boundaries as our neighbourhoods and communities follow a different natural area here in North Winnipeg.
Many of you will notice that the actual neighbourhood called Mynarski is not within the political boundaries of the Mynarski Ward. But, there is a Mynarski memorial statue near the front gates in Kildonan Park, and there is reference to a Mynarski at the Polish Combatants Association building on Cathedral and Main.
A visit to this legion will soon clarify this question for me, and we will post the information within the menu choices. As the information is put together, the menu items will begin to appear.
The boundaries of the Mynarski Ward are as follows:
East: the Red River from the CPR main line railway tracks to the Chief Peguis Trail.
West: Arlington from the Arlington Bridge to Carruthers; west on Carruthers to the CPR Winnipeg Beach railway tracks; and the CPr Winnipeg Beach railway line to the CPR Bergen Row (cut off) behind Vince Leah Recreation Centre lot..
South: the CPR main line railway tracks from the Red River to the Arlington Bridge.
North: the CPR Bergen Row (cutoff) from the CPR Winnipeg Beach railway tracks to Main Street; Maint Street from the CPR Bergen Row to Chief Peguis; and Chief Peguis from Main Street to the Red River.
