Who is Ross Eadie?
 
I am a person who grew up and still lives in Winnipeg’s North End and West Kildonan – for over 60 years.

I became totally blind in 1984 – 42 years ago.

I have overcome blindness and become successful in living a life as a parent, a provider, a top post secondary graduate, a paid worker, a disability advocate, and elected school board trustee and municipal councilor in Winnipeg’s North End and West Kildonan.

A Social Democrat

Since the time mother worked on Edward Schreyer’s NDP team win in 1969, and learning of Tommy Douglas’s commitment to social democracy, I am a social democrat, have voted for social democrats all of my life, have worked on and donated to many social democrats’ elections, and have been a social democrat candidate at all levels of government as I still continue my social democrat career.

Since 1981, I have been a solid Labour member and supporter despite the opinion of 2026’s Winnipeg Labour Council’s new local union leadership, not all locals.
